Our philosophy is to meet and exceed our clients expectations 100% of the time. We are a hands-on company and will never hire a middle man or salesman to do our jobs. We will work with you to develop and implement a strategic plan that focuses on a few key areas; Advertising, Web Design and Development, Print Design and Corporate Identity/Branding. We value the highest standards of honesty and integrity.

+ Melanie — visual design

Melanie first entered the design world in 2000 when she was attending Mohawk College for their Web Development Program. In 2002 she attended George Brown College for web development and print design.

She quickly honed and perfected her skills as a graphic designer using programs such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Fireworks then expanded her knowledge of commonly used design applications to include the full Adobe Suite.

Melanie and Chad began Maifith Design inc in 2001 as a trial to see if they could make it work. 2001 was a very busy year for them. Learning what she needed to know, to run a business, by trial and error, Melanie triumphed and developed her own successful way of communicating with clients.

Melanie took sole ownership of Maifith Design in 2003 and formed a corporation from the small company in the same year. She has since brought the company to its ever expanding state. Her current interests are in the print publication world.

The activity of the corporation was put on hold for a year after our child was born in 2009 and it was decided to begin a new chapter in our life, which brings us to now, starting a new venture.

+ Chad — web architect

Starting his career at the ripe age of 16, Chad worked in a print media firm in London, Ontario. Beginning his career in design as a co-op student, Chad worked his way up to becoming a junior graphic designer within a year. He learned all he needed to know about copiers, paper quality and type, printing presses, pre-press, and design software through his excellent bosses, Tammy and Peter Golinski, at Bogdon Graphics.

He decided to continue his education at George Brown College in Toronto. With high grades, a full class schedule, and a great set of instructors, Chad’s future in school looked promising. Before entering his third year at George Brown, he was offered a full time position at the University of Toronto as an Art Director.

Chad has since taught himself the most frequently used web applications and database languages such as PHP and MySQL; achieved expert level knowledge in Adobe Suite and the WordPress platform. Chad is currently the Web Architect for Information + Technology Services at the University of Toronto.
